Indonesia Olympic Commitee - Korfball

Korfball was invented in the Netherland in 1902 and was part of the Olympic Games in 1920 and 1928. It's a truly mixed-gender sport as two teams play with each team has four women and four men. The court is divided into two zones and each zone has a post with a basket at the top. Four players defend the basket, while the other four play attack and they are not allowed to enter the other zone. After two goals they switch zones. Men and women play side by side. But duels are man to man and woman to woman. The rules prevent physical strength dominating the game. Blocking, tackling and holding are not allowed. Nor is kicking and punching the ball.
