Women in Sport Commission Organizes Webinar, Online Class

NOC Indonesia News Update   18 Nov 2021

The Women in Sport Commission of the Olympic Committee of Indonesia organizes webinars and online classes to promote a healthy lifestyle and highlight women's role in sports.

Olympian weightlifter Nurul Akmal will be the guest speaker for the inaugural event on Friday, followed by a Zumba online class with Zumba's pioneer in Indonesia, Jun Ko Agus, as the instructor.

"As part of the Olympic Committee of Indonesia, we want to spread a healthy lifestyle during the time of the pandemic. Though the situation is improving, the government is still urging people to stay at home. That's why we organize the online class," said Head of Commission Susan Soebakti, who will be the keynote speaker in the webinar.

"We also want to highlight the importance of women's role in the national sports. Indonesia brought home a gold medal in the Tokyo 2020 games from the badminton womens' doubles event. It shows female athletes play a significant role in our sports. I would also like to thank our sponsor, PGN, for its support."

Both events are open to the public by registration. Should you be interested in joining the events, please register through this link. The event is supported by Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN).
