Modern Pentathlon Indonesia Discusses Future Plan with Olympic Committee of Indonesia

NOC Indonesia News Update   13 Jan 2022

Modern Pentathlon Indonesia (MPI) discussed its future plans with the Olympic Committee of Indonesia during the delegation visit on Wednesday.

The MPI delegation, led by Secretary-general Castor Jonis Tindage, met Secretary-general Ferry J. Kono and Vice Secretary-general Wijaya M. Noeradi.

From four multisports events in 2022, MPI will only participate in the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. Modern Pentathlon is not in the 31st SEA Games program, though Indonesia and other countries proposed to include the sport for this year's edition.

Modern pentathlon competitions made their debut in the 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines. Indonesia led the medal tally with four gold and two bronze medals, followed by the host, Thailand, and Singapore, respectively.
